I smoked for over 10 years and tried to quit many times. i thought id NEVER succeed. then one cold winter i just didnt feel like going out for cigs and tried not to think about them, but everyonce in a while i would treat myself to a joint when i just REALLY wanted to smoke. honestly i think weed should be considered for use as a tool for quitting cigarettes. its non addictive and lets you go through the motions of smoking. and its FUN! its what helped me quite. And no, Im not a “pot head”

    3. Strong urges to complete a meal or alcoholic beverage with another consumable i.e cigarette to emphasis completion.

Thanks for a fantastic start to my journey to be an ex smoker

I am an nicotine addict and these are the reasons why I use:

    1. I have established my identity as a smoker in my non smoking peer groups. I subconsciously pride myself on having a liberal view on tobacco consumption within those groups.

    2. To take breaks from even non-taxing activities such as watching TV and an afternoon nap to get outdoors and smoke. During this time, I look at events in my life and day in hindsight.

decemberbby I started @ 14. It’s the most boring drug in the world. Once your hooked you get zero happiness when you DO it, but now you feel antsy when you DONT do it. Im 35 & smoked about 1/2 the years in between. The only thing that workes for me is to work out a lot that makes my mind ok. Its not a distraction. It’s something better that makes your head feel great + obv your whole self.

Thanks for the comment decemberbby :) Your 14..your young and your being tricked by society and the tobacco companies.who is benefiting from you smoking?.not you! only the government, the media and the tobacco companies. They are fooling you that smoking is cool..grown up and ok to do. Wake up now. your not immortal ok. Stay away from your friends who smoke for 1 week. Ask yourself how long do you intend to continue killing yourself. Dont you wanna be healthier and smarter than them? do it now.
